- Salary: $55,000/year + up to $5,000 bonus
- Schedule: Open availability required; primarily afternoon/evening shifts
- Weekends as needed
- Workweek: 45+ hours
What We Do:
Each day we cook large batch quantities of food, cool it down, and portion individual meals to then be sealed and delivered to our own retail stores.
If you have any catering and banquet experience, it's much like prepping a day ahead for an upcoming party to better prepare yourself for plate up the next day.
An Assistant Kitchen Manager will either start off on the cooking and prep side of the kitchen or the portioning side of the kitchen. Both side sides are equally important. On the cooking side, the prep team really focus on the quality of the recipes, whereas on the portioning side, it’s all about portion control, and making the meals look good.
What You’ll Do:
As our Assistant Kitchen Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading Kitchen Operations – Oversee daily meal prep and kitchen efficiency while maintaining a fast-paced, high-quality production - environment.
- Ensuring Food Safety & Cleanliness – Enforce strict sanitation protocols to ensure the kitchen operates at the highest standards.
- Developing & Leading a Team – Provide hands-on leadership, mentor team members, and ensure smooth kitchen workflow.
- Communicating Across Teams – Serve as the link between kitchen staff and upper management, addressing any operational challenges effectively.
- Maintaining Efficiency & Accountability – Keep the team on track, ensuring they meet production goals and uphold company standards.
Who We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of kitchen experience (high-volume environment preferred)
- 1+ year of leadership experience in a kitchen or food production setting
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) – REQUIRED
- Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
- Hands-on team player – willing to work alongside the staff
- Assertive & career-driven – eager to grow within the company
- Ability to work 45+ hours per week, including weekends as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Solid knife skills
- Catering and/or banquet experience is a plus!
- Manufacturing or assembly line work is a plus!
