The Universal breakfast and lunch restaurant is looking for a line cook to join our team.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY REQUIRED.
We are looking for someone with immediate availability. Rate of pay comparable and DOE.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple stations is necessary. Positive communication skills and a teamwork-oriented approach are required. Bilingual kitchen.
Basic Requirements:
Experience cooking in a high volume commercial kitchen
Egg experience
Weekend and early morning availability
Strong work ethic
Positive attitude
Team player
Passion to work in scratch kitchen
Some of the Job Responsibilities include:
-Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
-Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
-Cooks food items to specified recipes and standards.
-Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
-Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
-Closes kitchen, with rest of staff, following list of responsibilities.
-Performs inventory checks and completes food logs.
