Hyperion Wholesale is a wholesale food and product distributor that services a wide range of different customer types including Convenience Stores, Coffee Shops, Hotels, Hospitals, and many others. We are a tight-knit, growing company always looking for good people to join our team and are currently seeking to hire someone for a Delivery Driver position.
Position Summary:
Delivery Drivers are responsible for the distribution and merchandising of our packaged food products to our retail partners. Duties include but are not limited to: re-stocking shelves, rotating products, and resolution of any service issues that may arise.
The right candidate will be personable, self-motivated, a good communicator, have some basic understanding of applicable technology (i.e. Quickbooks, Nutshell, etc.), and be capable of being trained on the rest.
Position pay:
The position has a base wage of $20 per hour with additional sales incentives that could make the hourly rate much higher depending on desire and effort.
Primary Responsibilities:
Load products for delivery
Following set routes to maximize time
Being meticulous about paperwork, and payments when applicable
Delivering product as per customer requirements and needs
Stock and rotate products at the store level
Ability to accept returns from customers when necessary, completing appropriate paperwork
Address and resolve customer problems as appropriate
Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance problems
Ability to think through and address any problems that may arise
Ability to make decisions and act in the best interest of the company
Job Qualifications:
Min. High School Diploma or GED required
1 - 3 years in a service-oriented position
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to read maps and follow routes
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must know his/her way around computers and software systems
Excellent customer service, and relationship skills
Must be a great team player
Demonstrate problem-solving skills
Ability to work at times without supervision; organize and manage time
Ability to drive in all types of weather and road conditions safely
Good verbal written communication skills required
Basic math skills required
Interpersonal skills a must
Desire to work in an environment with varying time requirements
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, push/pull, or balance weight.
The employee must frequently lift, move, and/or carry up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand or may use dolly-type equipment to deliver products to customers. The employee will regularly drive a delivery van and must be able to enter and exit the van throughout the day.'
