Nature of Work
Under the direction of the Lake House Manager, this position performs custodial duties and general site maintenance of facilities and/or park areas. Some of these tasks include cleaning of the indoor and outdoor restrooms, cleaning of the Lake House building, setting for events, park trash and maintaining the surrounding grounds. This position performs some semi-skilled tasks using machinery such as snowblower, power hand tools, mowing, trimming and edging grass.
Essential Functions
Cleans and maintains the Lake House facility.
Responsible for maintaining both indoor and outdoor public restrooms.
Sets up and puts away tables and chairs for Lake House events, including weddings, community events, etc.
Maintains cleaning supply inventory.
Manages trash removal.
Mopping, dusting, and cleaning windows of facility.
Ability to perform a variety of outdoor maintenance tasks such as lawn mowing, weed eating, snow removal, irrigation solutions, etc.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsible for the proper use of power tools, mechanical equipment, and other such equipment in several District buildings and amenities.
Comply with all safety standards of the district and position.
Must possess a highly defined focus toward both internal and external guest service.
Other duties as assigned.
Illustrative Examples of Duties
Clean and set the Lake House for events based on floorplan provided.
Proactively assist in the indoor and outdoor area of building maintenance.
Work is performed in and outdoors and may be exposed to extreme heat or cold.
Perform all required duties in a timely fashion.
Abilities
Ability to work weekends, subject to the event calendar.
Customer service skills.
Ability to handle problems and conflicts and conduct oneself in a mature, professional manner with an emphasis on customer service.
Ability to safely and effectively use a variety of tools including but not limited to mowers (riding or push), 4-Wheelers, and hand and power tools is a preferred.
Ability to move tables and chairs.
Knowledge
Thorough knowledge of modern principles, methods, practices and equipment associated with the position.
Required Training, Experience & Qualifications
Current CPR/first aid certification or receipt of in 6 months.
High School diploma or equivalent, and some custodial or maintenance experience.
Current Driver's License with a clean driving record for the last five years excluding minor traffic violations such as two or less speeding tickets.
