Registered Dental Hygienist
Central Family Dentistry, Denver CO
Salary: $50-55/hour DOE
Benefits: 401k with match, bonus structure, PTO, free covered parking
Part-Time: 2 days per week (potential to grow into full time)
We are seeking a skilled and caring Dental Hygienist to join our team! We are a small, privately
owned and operated growing practice in the heart of Denver consisting of one doctor, one
assistant, one hygienist and one front office administrator. The ideal candidate will provide
quality oral care and hygiene services to our patients, contributing to their overall dental health.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Review and update the patient’s medical history, motivators, and concerns including blood
pressure and enter in the computer capturing the patient’s signature.
Perform dental prophylaxis cleanings, scaling and root planning.
Administer fluoride treatments and assist in sterilization.
Check the patient’s progress and record the results on the patient’s chart including previous
incomplete treatment plans, oral cancer exam, TMJ exam, occlusal classification, comprehensive
periodontal exam, and diagnosis.
Take digital radiographs and CBCT imaging for patients needing consultation and/or treatment
and including vertical and horizontal bitewings, periapicals, full-mouth series as well as film
panoramic, bitewings, or occlusals as needed.
Be able to administer pulp vitality testing to complete records and aid in treatment planning.
Actively participate in morning huddles and monthly team meetings.
Continuously participate in CE to advance clinical/technology skills.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program required.
Current CO state license required.
Current CPR certification required.
X-ray certification required.
Must be laser certified to utilize Picasso lite laser for periodontal treatments.
Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software.
Knowledge of dental anatomy and skilled in patient assessment, co-diagnosis and treatment
planning.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules.
