As a Medical Assistant here, your role is essential in creating a seamless, respectful, and healing environment for our patients. Here are five key responsibilities you will be entrusted with:
1. Patient Preparation & Rooming
You’ll warmly greet patients, help them feel comfortable, and gather vital information such as medical history, current medications, and chief complaints. You’ll then prepare them for their exam or treatment—ensuring both dignity and readiness before the provider enters.
2. Clinical Support for Providers
With accuracy and calm under pressure, you’ll assist the physician and nurse practitioner during exams and minor procedures. This includes setting up exam rooms, passing instruments, and ensuring the provider has what they need, when they need it.
3. Vital Signs & Basic Testing
You’ll collect and record vital signs—blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation, body composition measurements —with precision and care. You may also perform routine tests urine pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and point-of-care lab work, always with an eye for detail and patient comfort. Blood draw and lab processing with correct billing.
You’ll administer medications as directed by the provider
4. Administrative Coordination
From scheduling follow-ups to managing referrals and prior authorizations, you’ll serve as a bridge between the front office and clinical staff. You’ll keep charts organized, ensure documentation is thorough, and contribute to a smooth, efficient patient flow.
5. Patient Education & Follow-Up
You confirm patient’s understanding of, knowledge about and consent to testing, procedures in order to help ensure patients leave with clarity and confidence. This might mean reviewing after-visit instructions, explaining how to take prescribed medications, or answering questions with patience and kindness. You’ll also assist in follow-up calls or outreach when needed.

At Center For Wellness MD we offer a very competitive salary and benefits package to our employees which include Medical vision and dental insurance 401K and of course PTO. Working hours are 8 AM to 4:30 PM weekdays and one or two Saturday shifts per month.
