The Western Stock Show Association (WSSA) is in search of hard working, highly motivated individuals to join our team for the 2024 National Western Stock Show.
Who We Are
Founded in 1906, the Western Stock Show Association aims to invest in future generations by promoting youth and community development through livestock and equestrian education, innovation, entertainment, and competition. We are best known for putting on the annual National Western Stock Show, which has called Denver its home since the 1890s.
What We Do
Members of the Exhibitor Services Team are responsible for providing superior customer service to Livestock Exhibitors during the National Western Stock Show. Primary tasks include checking in cattle, assisting in the relocation of cattle as needed, and operating equipment (tractors, golf carts, skid steers, etc.) to haul Exhibitors’ tack to various locations and deliver feed & shavings to pens.
NOTE: This is a seasonal position for the month of January 2024. Some positions may begin at the end of December 2023.
What You Need
To qualify for this position, candidates must have experience working with and around livestock. Scheduling flexibility is a must – members of our Exhibitor Services team may need to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends, up to 12 hours per day. Candidates must be available to work all 16 days of Stock Show (January 6th – January 21st).
Candidates must be able to be on their feet for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. Candidates should be comfortable working indoors and outside in all weather conditions. Fluency in the English language is a must.
As the responsibilities of this role may occasionally call for the use of equipment (golf carts, skid steers, tractors, etc.), a valid driver’s license, clean and current MVR, and pre-employment drug test are all required.
Successful crew members are able to understand verbal and written directions, can work independently as well as part of a team, and are safety-minded.
All job offers are contingent on the successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test. Candidates must be 18 or older to apply.
