Well here’s your chance! A local Underground Utility Contractor called Communication Construction and Engineering is hiring for an Experienced Drill Locator/Crew Lead for our Denver, CO location.

CCE employees work out of our Denver office and travel from there throughout the Front Range. Our hours are 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday with an occasional night or weekend required. Anything above 40 hours a week or 12 hours a day is OT and will be paid at 1.5 times pay rate.

Locator role Musts:

-Have experience running directional drills and drill crews in a busy environment with many utilities

-Have an active Class A CDL with no DUIs in the last 5 years and able to drive daily (manual is preferred but not required)

-Be able to work in Denver metro area Monday-Friday 7 am to 7 pm

-Not require sponsorship

-Be drug free, will be required to do drug test at application and randoms from there on out

-Be able to speak english clearly and be able to talk clearly

-Must be presentable as you represent the company

As a Locator/Crew Lead are responsible for:

-Understand how to operate a HDD Directional Drill

-Teaching and Training your crew members

-Optimizing production with available resources

-Operation of Digitrak Locators, including F5 Locator

-How to properly plan and execute a directional drill bore path

-When and where to direct potholers to do potholing

-Understanding of minimum utility offsets

-Understanding of utility construction regulations and requirements

-Reading survey stakes and survey marks

-How to read and translate plan sets into production

-Managing other members in your crew

-Mixing ingredients for proper mud mixture for directional drilling

-Ensuring minimum production levels

-Working with Field Ops Supervisors to determine daily projects

-Completing Daily Logs, GoPro videos, or any other on site records plus maintaining the job folder

-Maintaining Jobsite Safety along with safety of crew and public

-Overseeing crew performance of tasks such as vehicle inventory, maintenance and cleanliness

-Maintaining a Class A CDL and a clean driving record

-Foresee project complications

-Verify locates

-Verify job materials

-Oversee and maintain daily production

-Managing the locating equipment

-Working with Fleet Manager
