Job purpose
Cornerstone Apartment Services, Inc. is Denver's largest apartment management company. We manage over 200 properties, representing 4,500+ units in the Denver urban core, with plans to continue growing our business rapidly!
We strive to have each building look clean, neat, and tidy for each resident to call home. Therefore, the exterior, grounds, and common areas are the first impression of Cornerstone that prospective tenants have, and we want to show them we are attentive and care about each and every property.
Duties and responsibilities
Trash - Pick up any trash on the exterior or interior of the property and empty trash cans.
Leaves - Rake leaves and dispose of properly, or use leaf blower on sidewalks to clear walkways.
Sweeping - Make sure sidewalks, parking lots and carports look clean.
Plants and lawn - Attend to plants and lawn care during appropriate seasons.
Gutters - Clear gutters of leaves and any extra debris.
Bulbs - Check bulbs on exterior and interior of property and change, if needed.
Shop Supplies - Keeping track, ordering, or notifying supervisor of when to order more supplies.
Notices - Help with posting any notices or letters at buildings, when needed.
Attention to detail - Communicating with the portfolio manager of building if there is an issue that needs to be addressed.
Snow Removal - Help with shoveling snow from properties, when necessary.
Qualifications
Landscaping knowledge, a plus
Landscaping experience, preferred
Be able to lift 50+ pounds
Climb ladders when needed
Driver License
Reliable transportation
Dependable
Self motivated
Detail oriented
Working conditions
Grounds position requires an individual to be on feet majority, if not all day, and walking around. Work will be mainly outdoors with all seasons of weather, with some various inside work. Some situations may require heavy lifting of any weight. Position is full time Monday - Friday starting at 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with a half hour lunch.
