Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and mechanically skilled Inventory and Equipment Technician. This role is critical in overseeing and maintaining stock levels of inventory items and company equipment, ensuring their proper usage and repair, and acting as a custodian of company assets. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in inventory control systems to track asset locations, monitor conditions, and manage maintenance needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Tracking:
Maintain detailed records of all inventory items, including quantities, locations, and expiry dates.
Equipment Management:
Conduct regular inspections to monitor the functionality of company equipment, ensuring safety compliance and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly.
Label equipment for accurate tracking and accountability.
Investigate and document equipment damage and initiate necessary repairs.
Schedule and manage equipment repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Generate report on inventory levels, equipment usage, and maintenance status to stakeholders.
Ordering:
Place orders for new inventory and equipment when stock levels fall below predetermined thresholds.
Equipment Allocation:
Oversee the the distribution and assignment of equipment to field staff based on operational needs.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory management and equipment maintenance
Knowledge of inventory management systems and software.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Proficiency in computer operations and with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) is required
