Professional Mover/Driver
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Mover/Driver to join our team. This position requires flexibility to work Monday-Sunday. Must speak English!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting and moving customer belongings to various locations. This role involves driving a company truck, loading and unloading items, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:
Driving and Transporting:
Safely operate a moving 20-26 foot truck to transport items to residential and commercial locations.
Adhere to traffic laws and drive responsibly in various weather and road conditions.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and report any issues.
Loading and Unloading:
Carefully load, secure, and unload furniture, boxes, and other items to prevent damage during transport.
Use proper moving equipment such as dollies, straps, and pads to handle items safely and efficiently.
Lift, carry, and move heavy items (up to 250 lbs) as needed.
Customer Service:
Interact professionally with customers, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
Take inventory of items and ensure they are delivered to the correct destination.
Provide packing assistance or with disassembling and reassembling furniture as needed.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members to plan and execute efficient moving operations.
Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion of jobs.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in moving, delivery driving, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Driver's License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and a professional attitude.
Dependability: Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience using moving equipment (dollies, straps, etc.).
Familiarity with local routes and GPS navigation.
Basic mechanical skills for assembling/disassembling furniture.
Basic math skills.
Ability to speak in English and interact with diverse customers.
