We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Silkworm Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for raising silkworms from hatchlings to maturity, ensuring they are healthy and ready for wholesale distribution to reptile stores. This is a unique opportunity to work with a growing business in the pet industry.
Responsibilities:
Feed silkworms daily, from hatchlings to maturity, using prepared chow.
Cook and prepare chow for silkworms as needed.
Clean and maintain feeding tubs to ensure a hygienic environment.
Assemble silkworms into cups for weekly deliveries.
Prepare shipments for reptile stores, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Deliver shipments to four designated stores once a week.
Maintain detailed records of silkworm growth and care.
Qualifications:
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Comfortable with basic cooking and food preparation.
Must have reliable transportation for deliveries.
Previous experience in animal husbandry or a related field is a plus, but not required.
