Colorado Trees is a locally owned Full-Service Tree company. Crew size is anywhere between 3-6 people depending on size and scope of the job. We are looking for an experienced Groundsman/woman that is also willing to drive the Chip Truck with Chipper attached. Accepted candidate will be in the field 2-4 days per week starting immediately. The nature of our business sometimes causes us to only have 2-3 days per week in the Winter, but we have been in business for 7 years and have steadily gotten busier. We are looking for people that want to find a company to call their own for multiple years if the shoe fits.
We are looking for experienced Groundsmen/women only! We are willing to train in various aspects of the trade, including climbing, but are looking for people with experience tying knots, running ropes for the climber in the tree, someone that is familiar with the flow of running the ground and someone with Safety as their number one priority.
As this position will also include driving the truck and keeping an eye on maintenance needs, the hourly pay will start higher than a normal grounds position, as well as more hours per week. This is a part time position, although as a small company we offer a minimum of 6 hour days, no matter how long the job takes, but the driver will be guaranteed 7 hours per day to compensate for the extra time to pick up and drop off the truck. Any hours over that amount will obviously be paid for as well.
