Salary: $15/ hour

- FAST PACED AND COLLEGIAL OFFICE SETTING

- ONE YEAR OF OFFICE OR LAW FIRM EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

- PROVIDE FRONT DESK, CALENDARING, AND SECRETARIAL SUPPORT TO ATTORNEYS AND BE A FIRST POINT OF CONTACT FOR EXISTING AND NEW CLIENTS BY PHONE AND IN PERSON

- ASSIST WITH OFFICE ADMINISTRATION, CALENDARING, TELEPHONES, AND OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE WORK

Position Overview:

We are searching for an administrative assistant/ secretary to provide administrative support for our firm. Our firm specializes in family law and litigation. We are a locally owned law firm, committed to providing excellent client service and a great work environment. We are looking for someone to join our team that works well both as a part of a team and individually. This position is ideal for someone with secretarial or law firm background. There is opportunity for advancement within the firm.

Located in the Cherry Creek/ Glendale area, the hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Benefits include four weeks of paid time off, six paid holidays, and paid parking. Individual health insurance may be provided or partially provided depending on other factors.

Job Responsibilities:

- Answering phones and assisting clients, opposing counsel, and the courts with booking appointments and resolving client inquiries. Often will be the first point of contact in the office for new and existing clients, so excellent customer service skills and extreme patience are essential.

- Administrative duties, such as making copies, filing, scanning documents, preparing certified mailings, filling copiers, editing and drafting of documents, maintaining adequate amount of office supplies, transcribing phone messages, running software updates, preparing folders and envelopes, archiving files, preparing mailings to assist with business retention efforts, and taking certified mail to the post office and documents to the courts.

- Assisting attorneys and paralegals with initial organization of financial documents, case materials, and client information. After some training, preparing and processing client sworn financial statements and financial disclosures.

- Assisting with trial preparation and putting together notebooks for trial.

Job Requirements:

- Excellent customer service skills

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- High proficiency in typing

- Excellent ability to maintain a complete and organized calendar

- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

- Kind, compassionate, and responsible with a desire to serve our clients
