Opening for an experienced Amada Punch Press Operator. The position is responsible for setting up and operating a turret punch press to produce precision sheet metal parts according to customer specifications. Experience with Amada Vipros 358 is beneficial.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has experience with Amada machines with a minimum of 3 years experience operating turret punch presses in a sheet metal job shop/contract manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret blue prints and measuring instruments
Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
Commitment to producing high quality work
Able to work independently and part of a team
Experience with AP100 and CAD programming beneficial
Ability to life 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Responsibilities
Set-up and operating turret punch press to produce precision sheet metal parts according to customer specifications, quality standards and production schedules
Technical expertise in machine set-up, programming and tool selection for optimal performance
Monitor machine operation and make adjustments
Perform quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy
Maintain production records accurately
Perform routine machine maintenance
Maintain a clean and organized work area, follow all safety protocols and procedures
Experience with ISO and shop methodology beneficial
