Job Title: Industrial Manufacturing and Light Metals work Apprentice
Job Summary:
The Colorado Tent Company is seeking an Industrial Manufacturing and Light Metals work Apprentice to join our team. As an Apprentice, you will work closely with our experienced industrial goods manufacturers to learn the skills necessary to produce high-quality tents and outdoor equipment. This position is ideal for someone who is good with their hands, detail-oriented, and has an interest in learning the trade of fabric welding, fabric patterning and cutting, and industrial goods manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Learn to fabricate and assemble tent frames using time tested and traditional techniques
- Assist in the production of high-quality canvas tents and outdoor equipment
- Learn to use and maintain industrial sewing machines and cutting equipment
- Read and interpret work orders to accurately complete manufacturing requirements
- Work closely with experienced fabric welders and industrial goods manufacturers to learn the trade and improve your skills
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure efficient production and timely delivery of high-quality products
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work with your hands and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn the trade of fabric welding, canvas cutting, and industrial goods manufacturing
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in welding and industrial goods manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to stand, lift, and move heavy equipment and materials (50+lbs regularly, 100+ lbs on occasion)
