Garrett Brown Designs (GBD), a leading provider of custom furniture and architectural millwork for the hospitality and
multifamily industries, is seeking a skilled Millwork Install Lead to join our team on a contract basis. As an Install Lead, you will play a crucial role in installing high-quality custom millwork in various large-scale commercial properties, including restaurants, hotels, condos, and amenity spaces in apartment buildings.
Responsibilities:
● Lead team and coordinate onsite with GC’s and other trades, as well as GBD’s internal team.
● Install pre-finished millwork
● Perform skilled carpentry work in the final stages of construction of commercial spaces
● Construct, finish, and maintain woodwork including cabinets, fixtures, countertops, etc. This includes final
touch-ups & punch list completion.
● Efficiently install, and oversee others as they install commercial cabinetry and millwork pieces.
● Skillfully install and modify millwork onsite to ensure proper fit and alignment.
● Perform light steelwork, such as cutting and installing steel panels and various sizes of trim accents.
● Read and understand internal plans provided by Garrett Brown Designs, as well as refer to architectural
plans when necessary, to ensure accurate and precise installations.
Requirements:
● 5+ years of finish carpentry experience, preferably in a similar environment.
● Proficient in working with woodworking hand tools and power tools.
● Ability to work independently and as a leader of a team.
● Experience in the installation of high-end custom millwork and casework.
● Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
● Familiarity with construction site environments and finish work.
● Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
● Maintains a professional appearance
● Clean driving record
● Able to pass a drug screening
● OSHA 10 and First Aid
