We are looking for a Brake Press Set-Up and Operator who will be responsible for the set-up, operation, and tear down of our Amada Brake Presses, as well as training and mentoring. This person will Select tools and steps and program machine, then operate or train and pass on to operator, while setting up another machine and repeating the process.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Receive work orders with production instructions, and quality requirements.
Inspect the set-up and run quality tests on the brake press. Pass FP inspection.
Run the Brake Press while monitoring quality, consistency, and compliance of the parts being produced. Quality documenting is absolute and mandatory.
Troubleshoot production issues and adjust the set-up to fulfill the requirements of the work order.
Log work order progress and provide information to Quality, as requested.
Remove the tool and reset the brake press set-up for the next work order.
Be flexible and versatile to fill-in in other areas to meet the needs of ever-changing bottlenecks.
You’ll love this job if you have/are:
5 – 10 years of experience in the metal manufacturing industry, preferably in a job shop environment
MUST HAVE: 5 – 8 years of experience SETTING UP and operating a brake press, preferably an Amada.
Committed to contributing to the team effort
Flexible and willing to assist the team in other areas when needed. Mentor and trainer attitude.
Position Details:
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm or 4:30pm – 3:00am
Wage Range: $30 - $45 / hour.
