The Front Desk Staff serves as an initial point of contact in a clinic setting by performing check-in/check-out functions and booking patient appointments. Performs receptionist duties for our clinic
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greets patients or other visitors, informs staff of patients' arrival, and directs patients as needed.
Gathers and updates patient contact or other personal information.
Collects and inputs patient insurance information and verifies active coverage or eligibility.
Collects co-pays or other fees due. Answers and transfers phone calls, schedules appointments, arranges for referrals, or relays messages.
May perform occasional clerical duties, such as data entry, filing, or photocopying; clerical duties may require experience with medical records or electronic health record systems.
May assist in the clinic to; clean, disinfect, and general cleanliness.
Perform other office support work as needed.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
