Senior Network Administrator - Relocation Support

Live and work in Taos New Mexico. Relocation support included as well as cost of living stipend.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented experienced Network Administrator to implement, manage, and support our clients’ networks. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting small and medium-sized organization networks. A strong history with Cisco Meraki is essential. This role involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, optimizing systems, and implementing improvements to ensure secure, efficient and stable client environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Ability to work with both internal and external customers who have limited knowledge of business level network best practices and requirements.

- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and configurations (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, point to point tunnels, etc.).

- Monitor network performance, including capacity planning, load balancing, and optimization.

Perform regular troubleshooting and implement fixes to address outages, performance degradation, and security incidents.

- Ensure security protocols are in place and up to date, including firewall configurations, VPN management, disaster recovery systems, and security software.

- Document configurations, infrastructure, and change logs.

- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network management.

Required Qualifications

- Good team member with strong client interaction skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- 3+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or in a related role with a heavy emphasis on Cisco Meraki.

- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ Required (CCNP Enterprise preferred)

- Required 2+ years of hands-on experience with networking hardware.

- Proficiency in network management tools and software (e.g., Wireshark).

- Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).

- Experience with network security, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong documentation and communication abilities.

- Ability to pass a full check.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with other network vendor systems (Fortinet, SonicWall, etc.) is a plus.

Experience in managing multi-site network environments.
