Their typical day revolves around working closely with stakeholders to understand data needs, to uncover trends, to maintain data accuracy within BI systems, and to translate business requirements into technical specs. The BI Analyst will be working with data - connecting to various sources, cleaning and shaping the data to make it usable, and then creating compelling visualizations that tell a story.Essential Job Functions:To understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insightsTo create dashboards and visual interactive reports using Power BITo identify KPIs with clear objectives and monitor them consistentlyTo analyze data and present it through reports that can help in decision-makingTo be able to convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide the timeline to accomplish tasksTo design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform efficient detailed analysisTo perform DAX queries and functions in Power BITo create charts and document data with algorithms, parameters, models, and relations explanationsTo conduct data warehouse developmentTo perform SQL querying for best results To define and design new systems by analyzing current ETL processes To make technical changes to existing BI systems in order to enhance their functioningEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or data science related field.At least 3 years' experience working with data management and analysis applicationsIntermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication, design development, and debugging skills.Ability to work independently using strong organizational skills and operate effectively in team settings using an agile software development approach.Maintain and support application(s) according to changing business/mission requirements.
