Location: 100% Remote, with some onsite visits required (1-2x monthly)Type: Full-Time, Direct HireIndustry: Non-ProfitSalary: $100k - $120k + bonusWe are not able to support out-of-state employees at this time as we continue to serve our members and community in the metro Denver area and across the beautiful state of Colorado.Position SummaryUnder the supervision of the Manager of IT Infrastructure, the IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, support and maintenance of multiple IT infrastructure systems, including servers (Windows and Linux), storage, backup, cloud and disaster recovery. They will work closely with other IT Infrastructure Engineers, systems administrators, third parties and other IT functional groups to ensure that services are available as required. He/she will ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements, NIST standards, and organizational policies/procedures. This role is also responsible for assisting other engineers and administrators in monitoring, configuring, and responding to infrastructure alerts; providing configuration control; and planning and implementing sound infrastructure designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures. The Infrastructure Engineer will deploy the release of new technologies as well as provide infrastructure solutions based on application needs and anticipated growth, install new servers and maintain the infrastructure. Coordinates and works on multiple cross-functional base work initiatives and projects.Work DutiesSupports, designs and implements infrastructure technologies and solutions such as: computer storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open source packages and solutions, virtual and cloud including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.Analyzes and identifies problems across different technology capabilities and helps to identify appropriate solutions. Classifies and prioritizes problems, documents causes and implements remedies.Maintains focus on the whole life of service delivery - designs, develops, delivers and operates. Ensures that IT products, suppliers and vendors come together to deliver exceptional IT services.Creates system specifications and designs to meet defined business needs. Works with business and technology stakeholders to translate business problems into technical designs and approaches that will enhance user service. Explores different approaches to solving problems.Integrates and tests components, systems and their interfaces to create operational services.Plans, designs, manages, tests and executes technology solutions, using appropriate tools and techniques; working within regulations. Ensures risks associated with deployment are adequately understood and documented.Identifies opportunities for process improvement or automation where practical; designs and implements these improvements as directed.Provides awareness training to the workforce on information security standards, policies and best practicesSupports multiple systems or applications of medium to high complexity (complexity defined by size, technology used, and system feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility.Leads enterprise base work initiatives and projectsActs as the technical liaison between operations teams, engineers and architects, providing critical operational insight to upcoming implementations and strategies, including validation of ongoing solutions supportability.Develops cost/time estimates.Job Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in an IT field. An equivalent combination of experience and/or education may substitute with a preference for seven years progressive relative work experience. Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in an IT Infrastructure position, with in-depth knowledge of at least one of the following: Storage and Backup, Servers (Windows and Linux), Virtualization (knowledge of Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor, Prism Element and Prism Central strongly preferred), Disaster Recovery or Hyper-converged Infrastructure. Experience with multiple stacks is preferred. Healthcare IT experience with knowledge of HIPPA preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Expertise in Windows Server operating systems, Linux (Red Hat and Ubuntu) and Windows Active Directory.Knowledge of data backup methodologies and products (CommVault Simpana preferred).Demonstrates support for the company's mission, vision and values with strong verbal and written communication skills. Expertise in designing and deploying reliable infrastructure systems and architectures with strong planning, research and problem resolution skills. Solid understanding of disaster recovery principles and implementation tools, technologies and methods.System administration expertise to support multiple platforms and applications. Skilled in working with cloud deployments in Azure and working with automated infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools. Understanding of SOX and HIPAA desired. May be required to manage multiple priorities and projects with tight deadlines.Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance will be required for any positions requiring driving.
