JOB SUMMARY:

Manage a custom millwork plant in the Denver Metro area with primary focus on efficiency process, training employees in related industry skills while sustaining an efficient, productive operation. Important to have knowledge in management, sales, wood working.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 Production Foreman, 10+ shop employees including delivery.

1. Ensure product and production planning, scheduling, and execution are in place for the shop and shipping workers.

2. Review client approved drawings before production to ensure fabrication needs are indicated on drawings for efficient production

2. Lead and train shop workers on-site; on the job training in custom wood fabrication skills.

3. Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate qualified subordinate employees as needed to fill staff positions.

5. Develop and maintain quality control measures to ensure fabricated work arrives to the job site as intended.

6. Insures procedures are in place that assures manufactured products are in conformance to specifications and instructs subordinates of any changes necessary to comply with customer requirements and expectations.

7. Develop an understanding and rapport with the staff to include ensuring procedures and policies are followed.

8. Manage and maintain inventory for materials and hardware to ensure materials are in place for upcoming fabrication needs. Overcoming resent supply chain issues.

9 . Ensure safety conditions are in place in the shop at all times and ensure safety meeting requirements are performed as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of directly related experience or Associates degree with 8 years related experience and/or training; or 10 years related experience with at least 5 years management or supervision of 5 or more individuals.

2. Specialized Knowledge and/or Skill: Architectural Millwork manufacturing to include woodworking. Comprehension of blue prints and shop drawings. Skilled at directing the efforts of many toward common goals. Computer literate, with working knowledge of all Microsoft programs.

4. Reasoning Ability: Possess the ability and discipline to source relevant facts quickly and make decisive decisions based on those measurable facts. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

5. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, as well as procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effective with individuals from a variety of educational, social, and ethnic backgrounds in a professional manner.

6. Rapport capability: Posses the temperate and skills to work and manage others with respect and kindness in a time sensitive climate.

7. Time Management skills: Must understand the time needs for fabrication to ensure meeting client timelines with the skills present in the shop.
