Job Summary
Master Services, LLC is growing fast and we are on the hunt for a skilled ASE Certified Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining a fleet of up to 60 vehicles. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, problem-solver with a passion for automotive repair and a commitment to quality workmanship. As an ASE Certified Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards.
Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools, scan tools, multimeters, and computer software.
Efficiently and accurately repair a range of automotive systems, including but not limited to:
o Engine performance and repair
o Transmissions (automatic and manual)
o Braking systems (ABS, pads, rotors, lines)
o Steering and suspension
o Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems
o Electrical systems (starting, charging, wiring)
Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and tune-ups.
Clearly document all findings, work performed, and recommended services on repair orders.
Communicate effectively with Management regarding vehicle status, necessary repairs, and estimated time for completion.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
Stay current with emerging automotive technology and repair procedures through ongoing training and education.
Road test vehicles before and after repairs to verify concerns and ensure quality control.
Qualifications and Skills
Required: High School Diploma or GED.
Required: Current and valid ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certifications. (A minimum of [e.g., two] certifications such as A5-Brakes and A6-Electrical/Electronic Systems is required).
Required: Minimum of [e.g., 3+] years of professional experience as an automotive technician.
Required: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Owning a comprehensive set of mechanic's tools is a plus.
Proficient in using modern diagnostic equipment and software (e.g., Alldata, Mitchell OnDemand).
Strong understanding of automotive theory and operating principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
ASE Master Technician Certification is highly preferred.
Advanced certifications such as L1 (Advanced Engine Performance Specialist).
State-specific certifications (e.g., Emissions or Safety Inspector).
Experience with [e.g., European, Asian, Domestic, or specific brands like Ford, Toyota, etc.] vehicles.
A degree or diploma from an accredited automotive technology program.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and more with assistance.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
Must be able to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, dust, and varying temperatures.
Requires excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
