Collision Repair (Body Man) Technician Wanted

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Collision Repair Technician (Body Man) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This role requires expertise in metalwork, dent repair, frame straightening, and panel replacement, as well as the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect damaged vehicles to assess necessary repairs and develop a repair plan.

Remove, repair, and replace damaged body panels, fenders, bumpers, hoods, and other vehicle components.

Perform dent removal, frame straightening, and structural repairs using specialized tools and equipment.

Sand, grind, and prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring proper adhesion and a smooth finish.

Weld and fabricate parts as needed to restore vehicle integrity.

Align and fit panels, ensuring proper gaps and flush finishes.

Work closely with estimators, painters, and other technicians to ensure timely and efficient repairs.

Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure tools are in good working condition.

Stay up to date with industry advancements, repair techniques, and manufacturer guidelines.

Requirements:

5 + years experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role in a collision repair shop.

Strong knowledge of bodywork repair techniques, tools, and equipment.

Ability to read and interpret repair estimates, work orders, and technical manuals.

Proficiency in welding, metal fabrication, and frame repair.

Aluminum welding experience preferred

Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

I-CAR or ASE certification (preferred but not required).
