Under general supervision of the Operations manager, a variety of skilled work in the repair and maintenance of diesel engines (Drill Rigs,Forklifts,Trucks,Tractor trailers, , Skidsteers), as well as general repairs of pumps and motors, and any other associated heavy Foundation construction equipment.
PRINCIPAL, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mechanic Requirements:
Capability to perform diagnosis, maintenance and repair of diesel engines and equipment
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
Provide quality and cost effective maintenance of company equipment
Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keep equipment service records
Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools
Fabricate needed parts or items from mild steel.
Ability to complete all necessary parts ordering.
Oil, lube, and filter inventory and ordering.
Safely move trucks/equipment to/from shop and yard area
Maintain safe and clean work area.
Computer experience
CDL A license and/or the ability to obtain one
Skill in:
Diesel mechanics and computer diagnostics.Perfered
Simple 12v electrical system diagnostics
Mild Steel Welding
Ability to:
Effectively manage the repair and maintenance of associated heavy foundation drilling construction equipment. Work extended hours outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Prepare and maintain records and reports. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public. Follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers’ service specifications. Ability to perform physical work including climbing, lifting, twisting, bending, pushing, reaching, reaching above head, grasping, stooping, carrying up to 50 lbs.
