Job Description:
As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various industrial equipment, including pumps, fans, and other machinery. You will work in the field, addressing on-the-job issues and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in new projects and provide quotes for services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in industrial equipment, particularly pumps and fans.
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and installations of electrical systems and components.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide effective solutions.
- Provide accurate quotations for service work and new projects.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project status and any issues encountered.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid electrical license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician, with a focus on troubleshooting pumps, fans, and industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience with project quoting and time/material-based job management.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Own necessary tools and equipment for electrical work.
- Current liability insurance and any additional insurance required for independent contracting.
