Looking for a Mechanic / Shop Tech to help perform basic services and maintenance to a fleet of 16 trucks and mobile containers. Although our vehicles are diesel trucks, none of the work requires a diesel-specific mechanic. Large jobs are taken to a local shop. The position offers autonomy, an 1100sqft shop with temperature control, service uniforms, and tools/equipment necessary to perform duties.

Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventative maintenance to company vehicles (brakes, oil changes, fuel filters, milestone maintenance, "nuts and bolts")
Use company-provided diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
Minor repairs of diesel trucks
Perform quality inspections prior to returning vehicles to service
Welding/cutting/grinding repairs of metal containers (prior welding experience not required)
Ordering and managing inventory of spare parts for maintenance (brakes/rotors, oils, filters, fluids, etc.)
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a mechanic or shop tech
Experience with diesel vehicles a 'plus', but not required
Knowledge of basic shop equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Self-motivated without the need for constant instruction
Deadline and detail-oriented
