As we continue to expand our network, we are seeking skilled and dedicated Cable Plow Operators to join our dynamic team in Elbert and Douglas counties.

Position Summary

If you enjoy working outdoors and solving problems with your hands and a basic understanding of machines and science, then a job as a plow machine operator with our company could be perfect for you. As a plow operator, you'll travel to different work sites and will be responsible for operating heavy and light construction equipment. A plowing job is ideal for an individual who likes to work with both his or her hands and mind. On the job training is available, however, ideal candidates will have experience operating light machinery for trenching, yard maintenance or landscape, or in general construction.

Functions and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operating or assisting with a vibratory plow to bury fiber from the road along a pre-marked path to customer homes

Evaluating environmental conditions

Verifying existing and creating new as-built diagrams of infrastructure

Assisting in planning and verification of properties and infrastructure in expansion areas

Walking customers through our services and answering questions

Pulling and blowing fiber optic cable - work with a team to ensure safe, speedy installation of cable in existing

conduits

Demonstrate and support a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.

We currently work with outside engineering and surveying firms. We need an individual who can be organized and communicate with these outside teams to coordinate projects. An ideal candidate would have experience with aligning, inserting, and reading GPS data into a CAD software, but is not required.

Education/Experience

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Party chief experience, preferred

Experience with burying drop cable, preferred.

Acceptable driving record that meets company standards

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.

Ability to work outdoors 100% of the time.

Ability to drive to/from work sites.

Ability to follow OSHA/State/Local Safety Standards

Ability to walk up to 3 miles per day on terrain such as gravel, pavement, grass, etc

Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00/hr
