Hello, I am currently looking n a wheelchair due to surgery, unable to drive.
I am looking for a person to be able to provide me transportation as needed, wait during time in Dr appt or in store, on an hourly basis with minimums and mileage to be discussed.
We would need to make schedules as needs arise. While visits are in progress, you are free to go anywhere you wish, and I will call to have you come back. You are welcome to come into any of the stores.
You will need to have a vehicle with large enough space to accommodate folded manual wheelchair, without the leg extensions. We can work out the process of loading/unloading. I am able to finally put some weight, just can't walk far, so I can do the actual load/unload as needed. I hope this will open the opportunity to drivers that traditionally would have trouble with this process
A little of me: I am a 55 year old gentleman currently on disability from my career as a home care nurse. I live at approximately Havana and Alameda, in Windsor Gardens.
I do not know how long the need will exist. I am just putting weight on for the first time in 5 months, so I anticipate it will be at least through the end of the year, most likely longer.
I am looking to develop an agreement that is in both our favor. As I have been off work since jan1, 2024, I cannot pay a high rate, but need to ensure you feel you are, and in fact are, compensated adequately. This is by no means a full time job. Great as a side job, for a retired person, or a possibly a person who is at home while the kids are in school.
I will make daily payments in cash.
Please send me an email if you have interest, and a proposal of rates, and whether this rate list is fixed, or there is room for negotiation. If you have a specific availability, please let me know. Other than Dr appts that must be done in day/weekday I am open to alternate times.
