Hello! I am the owner of a small but growing records retrieval company. We work with law firms to assist in obtaining the needed medical records and billing records for various personal injury cases. It is currently myself and one other employee, but we need to add to our amazing team! Below you will find a list of qualifications that are needed to meet the requirements of this position.
- Customer service oriented (Our customers are the foundation of our business, so this is number one!)
- Critical thinking skills (sometimes your thinking cap is definitely required! You must be able to problem solve)
- Integrity (we deal with a lot of personal and private information. You must have integrity to be in this position)
- Reliability (this position relies on someone who can show up everyday)
- Independence (you must be a self starter and able to self motivate and keep on task, as you will be working from home)
- Skilled with computers (we work with a lot of software online, as well as a records platform that mimics Excel)
- Telephone Skills (this position requires calling medical providers to verify they have received a request, check status of a request, and issue payments)
- Good grammer, spelling and punctuation (Our customers see all of our notes from calls, it is important we appear professional)
- Friendly (It is so important that we are able to connect with our providers and law firms on a different level than our competitors. A friendly voice and conversation goes a long way!)
This position is starting at part time, with the potential to be full time as we pick up new customers and more business. As you train and get used to your position you may be working a little more than part time, but it will become more steady as you get used to your position. There is a lot to learn. No medical background is required. As long as you are eager, motivated and ready to learn, then you are teachable!
