Connectional Council of the Global Methodist Church in Holyoke, CO seeks Pastor (multiple positions).
Responsibilities: The Pastor is responsible for conducting religious worship services; preparing and delivering worship services and sermons; leading the worship praise team; preparing and leading Bible study groups; preparing for and participating in congregational, District, Conference, and community meetings; providing spiritual counseling to the general congregation; providing guidance and leadership to church members; meeting the church members in times of special need; ministering to the ill and infirm, which sometimes may require limited local travel to their homes or health care facilities; performing and conducting religious services and other religious events such as funerals, weddings, and baptisms; coordinating members to lead and support various functions of the church including janitorial, administrative, musical, technological, or childcare duties; and other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Divinity, Theology, Theological Studies, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
Special Requirements: Knowledge of the Global Methodist Church’s theology and doctrine as established by the Book of Doctrines and Discipline; must be licensed for pastoral ministry or recognized or ordained as either a full member, provisional member, member in full connection, elder, or deacon of the Global Methodist Church or its approved affiliates/partners in full connection/communion, or be approved for credentialing within 12 months of appointment.
