In this role, the Director is responsible for the overall direction and management of the Contract Administration department to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risk with knowledge of applicable regulations and internal processes and policies. The Director will create internal processes that support SSRM Contracting and Vendor Management, Sourcing, GPO and SSRM Finance, and other National/Regional Operating Units. The Director provides day-to-day leadership of a team of contracting professionals to develop best practices regarding supply chain repositories, management of legal templates, and contracting processes throughout the contract lifecycle.The Director leads the development of the Jaggaer Contracting and Sourcing modules for SSRM, and is responsible for training the SSRM Contracting and Sourcing teams to become proficient users of the Jaggaer system.This position has direct oversight of the GPO management related to the roster and use of multiple GPO business models used by CommonSpirit as they relate to contracting with GPOs and pricing management.The Director is responsible for communications of contract activities to the ERP team, Implementation and Division Supply Chain staff to operationalize contracts that consistently meet industry standards during the SSRM full contract lifecycle management standards.Key Responsibilities

Hire, train and lead a team of contracting professionals to ensure all contracts are loaded into the company repositories. Collaborates with multiple departments to uphold an effective contracting strategy for CSH. Supports and informs ERP staff to uphold the process for item and pricing management.

Develop rigorous standards for the maintenance and improvement of the contracting repository system ensuring all information is loaded accurately and audited regularly to ensure it meets quality control standards.

Act as the Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert (SME) in regards to utilization of the SSRM contract lifecycle system. Develop training materials, maintain the template library, standardize RFP processes, and measure cycle times to maintain or increase utilization of the system for Sourcing and Contract negotiations.

Uphold various company policies, including the Signature Policy, Stewardship Competitive Bidding Policy, OHCA Compliance Policy, IT Security Policy, Accounts Payable and others that are applicable to contract negotiations and administration.

Develop and oversee the working process behind the Strategic Sourcing Center of Excellence (SSCOE). Educate the goal and process to end users throughout the organization, including facility Administrative Leaders, Operations, and Legal Services.

Responsible for GPO collaboration and rostering of the DHPN and CSH membership in alignment with the financial and operational structure of the organization.

Embraces and exhibits anticipatory mindset to ensure workflows are progressing timely.

Assist in the management of key vendor relationships to ensure contracted pricing is connected accurately and timely to CommonSpirit’s procurement systems to drive value for the organization.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/Healthcare Administration (or other similar) is required.

Master’s degree is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of contract management and/or supply chain experience with evidence of progressive, increasing responsibility.

Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory experience.

Strength in building a strong and collaborative team.

Experience with and literate in supply chain computer applications, Microsoft Office applications, Google tools and user knowledge of each to achieve Supply Chain goals.

Proven negotiation capability

Familiarity with supplier contracting and procurement processes

Demonstrated process and project management

General knowledge of healthcare operations and medical device industry issues

Analytical and financial skills

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Possesses good organizational and task oriented capabilities

Excellent oral, written skills and presentation skills
