Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in community/urban planning or a closely related field.
1-6 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of community planning principles, such as land use strategies, zoning and development regulations, comprehensive and long-range planning, and community engagement.
Familiarity with local government operations, policies, and development review processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and adaptability to new applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) with a proven track record of delivering results.
Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis on qualitative and quantitative data.
Strong technical writing skills, with an understanding on how to custom-tailor messaging to meet the project or client needs.
A self-starter, confident in professional capabilities, able to work effectively independently and collaboratively on a variety of project assignments.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Desired Skills and Experiences:
Master’s degree in community/urban planning.
Knowledge and experience in funding research, grant writing, brownfield revitalization, zoning/development code interpretation, community redevelopment, comprehensive plans, corridor and sub-area plans, urban and downtown (re)development.
Ability to visualize and critique designs, swiftly crafting development strategies and solutions.
Proficiency in creating graphic designs through sketches and/or computer programs.
Engagement in thought leadership activities based on industry best practices and current planning trends.
Proven specialty skills in areas such as multi-modal transportation planning, place-making, economic development, housing, and/or sub-area planning are a plus.

A salary range for this posting is $55000 - $80000 / year. The foregoing salary range represents what the company believes, in good-faith, it will pay for the posted opportunity.
