This faculty position will provide 30-34 weeks of clinical effort and will have responsibility for surgical consultations, performing orthopedic surgery, and teaching house officers and DVM students. This position supports an important clinical service in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital ( VTH ) both in terms of client service and revenue generation. CSU has a unique integrated service including Orthopedic Surgery, Orthopedic Medicine/Mobility, and Rehabilitation teams for comprehensive patient care and collaborative clinical research/trials.A signing bonus of up to 10% of negotiated starting salary may be considered for successful candidates.Conditions of EmploymentPre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires)Required Job QualificationsInstructor:

DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree

Completion of an approved American College of Veterinary Surgeons ( ACVS ) or European College of Veterinary Surgeons ( ECVS ) surgical residency and eligibility to take the certification examination

Upon completion of achieving diplomate status, candidates will be eligible for promotion to Assistant Professor with a commensurate annualized salary increase

Eligibility for academic veterinary licensure in Colorado

Assistant Professor:

DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree

Board certification by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons ( ACVS ) or European College of Veterinary Surgeons ( ECVS )
