Heavy Equipment Mechanic
We are an independent heavy equipment/parts dealer, that is looking for an experienced mechanic. This candidate must be proficient with heavy equipment and have mechanical, hydraulic , and electrical troubleshooting skills. Primarily Caterpillar equipment but also all other manufacturers.We tear down equipment and sell the parts as individual items.
Responsibilities:
Work with parts department to tear down whole machines and orginize.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Will tear down equipment and troubleshooting defects in heavy machinery such as; Scrapers, motor graders, dozers, backhoes, excavators, etc.
Skills in fabricating and welding are a plus
Must have own tools
Able to read schematics
Must be reliable with flexible hours and willing to travel
Must have a strong work ethic and be able to work efficiently
Must have a working knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used inthe repair of equipment
Must know the theory and operation of engines and drive train components, brakes, electrical and hydraulics
Must be willing to have a background check
Must be willing to work in adverse weather
Clean Driving record, CDL not required
Proficiency in CAT SIS and ET a plus
