Seeking a non-smoking dedicated, conscientious caretaker for a small family ranch near Eaton. Must be able to handle horses and operate and maintain equipment. Responsibilities include managing a 5 stall barn and caring for 4-8 horses, 3-6 cows, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and pigs (feeding, mucking stalls, picking hooves, washing feed and water buckets, blanketing when needed, sweeping/blowing barn alley, organizing tack and tools, stacking hay etc.) and groundskeeping – mowing, weed-eating, filling animal feeders, trimming low branches, and other ranch maintenance such as mending fences, etc.
Equipment includes, but may not be limited to, skid loader, truck, tractor, mower, golf cart, UTV, attachments such as forks, shredder, backhoe, fertilizer spreader, arena groomer, etc.
The job is 6 days a week. Vacation and sick time available after 90 days. Salary: $700/week based on experience.
