POSITION: LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION ASSISTANT FOREMAN

DEFINITION:

To assist the Landscape Installation Foreman with management of landscape installations

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

This position receives direct supervision from the Landscape Installation Foreman and indirect supervision from the Landscape Installation Manager. The Landscape Installation Assistant Foreman exercises supervision over all landscape general labor positions

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

This is an experienced, full time seasonal position paid hourly which requires 2-3 years' experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

¬Â Basic knowledge of irrigation installation

¬Â Basic knowledge of hardscape installation

¬Â Basic knowledge of plants and trees

¬Â Basic knowledge of water features

¬Â Knowledge of proper care and maintenance of tools.

¬Â Experience with skid loaders and trenchers

¬Â Speak, read, write, and comprehend English.

¬Â Demonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

¬Â Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

1. Leads in landscape and irrigation installation

2. Assists in the training of all landscape laborers

3. Basic maintenance of tools and equipment

4. Competent with the operations of skid loaders and trenchers

5. Assists with keeping their trailer and truck clean and organized

6. Assists with job tracking and maintaining job budget

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. ATPS promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma, GED or Vocational training and two to three years (2-3) related experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Valid Colorado Driver's license is required.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Certified Landscape Technician a plus
