The IMS Heating & Air New Construction Lead Installer is responsible for the layout and installation of the ductwork system and furnace in new construction homes. The Lead Installer plays an essential role at IMS Heating & Air by leading the installation crew with expert workmanship and providing an operational, clean, professional installation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Layout New Construction homes
Read prints and prepare with correct layout
Install ductwork systems
Set furnaces and install venting
Quality check after installation to ensure complete, professional installation that is ready for inspection by the municipality
List any items that need completion on paperwork and turn into Field Supervisor
Training and continuing education for Apprentice Installers
Ensure all material is brought to jobsite to alleviate additional trips
Professional communications with contractors and customers
Communicate with Warehouse Manager regarding equipment and material stock, notify of low stock and ordering needs
Contact Shop Fabricator regarding custom fitting needs
Maintain fleet vehicle
A clean MVR is REQUIRED for this position
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
3 years of experience as a lead installer
Knowledge of multiple jurisdiction mechanical codes
Own and effectively operate HVAC hand tools
Ability to train Apprentice Installers on proper installation techniques
Ability to assist other field personnel with questions
Ability to professionally and clearly communicate with all team members
Ability to work with a friendly, professional demeanor
Maintain a positive attitude that aligns with company culture
WORKING CONDITIONS
The New Construction Lead Installer is a job requiring primarily manual work. The majority of the time is spent in residential/commercial projects that may be in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
Ability to sit or stand
Ability to stoop, kneel, reach, and bend at the waist
Ability to climb in and out of vehicles
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to use hands and fingers and have good dexterity
Fine motor skills
Ability to frequently lift 10-20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 130 pounds
Annual Starting Salary: $20-$30 per hour DOE
Hours: Monday through Friday plus some evenings and weekends
