Red House Tools Assembly line workers, also known as assemblers, perform a variety of tasks to create finished products, including assembling parts, operating machinery, and packaging.
Assembly line workers will sometimes work in teams with other colleagues, collaborating on guidelines, cleaning, and maintaining assembly lines. They also need to be highly organized and detail-oriented, able to maintain production quotas and adhere to tight deadlines.
Assembler Job Responsibilities:
Assembly
Use templates and measurements as well as visual and verbal instruction to position parts and subassemblies, examine connections for proper fit and fasten parts together. Follow instructions, specifications, and quality standards to ensure accuracy.
Quality control
Inspect parts for defects and report issues to a supervisor.
Machine operation
Operate machinery and equipment, following safety procedures and manufacturer's instructions. Complete preventive maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions.
Packaging
Package finished products for distribution, following guidelines and ensuring proper labeling.
Other duties
Maintain a clean and safe work area, complete production paperwork, and assist in other areas of production as needed.

Mechanical and technical skills
Physical stamina and strength
Safety management mindset
Focus on quality control
Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small
Color vision may be required if your company makes electrical and electronic products that include color-coded wiring
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Previous manufacturing experience
Various certifications, such as Certified Logistics Associate/Warehouse Distribution certification, Qualified Warehouse Logistics Professional (QWLP), Certified Professional in Distribution and Warehouse Management, ect. will be taken into consideration when calculating wage offers.
