Job Description
Title: CNC Machinist Department: Mill
Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Job Summary
-Produces Machined parts by setting up, and operating a computer numeric control
(CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining
equipment and supplies.
-Understands part by studying blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications,
reference plans, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric
dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
-Noti$ing shop lead of material needs.
-Setting up machine by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting
tool registers, offsets, indicating vices/part, compensation, calculating requirements,
including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
-Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample part; adhering to
international standards.
-Maintains specifications by observing all machine operations, taking measurements,
detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting process, adjusting the program for maximum
output and tool life, sharpening and replacing worn tools, adhering to quality assurance
procedures and process.
-Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
-Maintains equipment, keeps work area clean and free of clutter
-Follows part to completion, sandblasting, de burring, bagging and label of frnished parts.
-Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and
different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
-General Housekeeping.
