Job Description:
Inspects parts to ensure they meet blue-print tolerances. Understands how to read blue-prints, both traditional tolerancing and geometric tolerancing. Knowledgeable in standard inspection techniques. Completes both 1st article and final inspection tasks. Follows company procedures to ensure parts are inspected economically and precisely.
Tasks include:
1st Article Inspection
Final inspection
In process inspections
Calibration of inspection tools
Maintenance of inspection equipment
Records and documents inspection results
Records and monitors shop scrap rates
Skills include:
Accurately uses inspection equipment
Exceptional attention to detail
Follows procedures without deviation
Understands likely problem areas and inspects these features more closely
Understands manufacturing processes to help determine root causes of deficiencies
