We are looking for someone to sit in a two-person office, take phone calls and either be or work up to being a Project Coordinator and eventually a Project Manager. The ideal candidate will enforce all company policies, and help bid out jobs, manage superintendents and assist the owner of the company in day to day issues. The below is desired but we are willing to train.

As a Project Coordinator, you will work closely with senior management to ensure that company goals and missions are met. All Employees must comply with and enforce all company policies. All employees must be on time and ready to perform their job duties on a daily basis. Employees must be courteous and respectful of other employees, customers and vendors as a condition of employment. You will be responsible for the following:

Project Duties:

• Overall scheduling of projects and coordination of the field crew, manpower and installation for all projects assigned to you

• Working closely with project Foremen on material and manpower requirements and procurement of all materials and equipment necessary for completion of project

• Generation of Purchase Orders

• Responsible for remaining in budget on all material and equipment items

• Weekly coordination/scheduling with project superintendents and/or other personnel

• Attendance at mandatory job site meetings as required

• Ordering of all materials, equipment and supplies and control of project material and labor budgets

• Coordination of pre-construction conferences with Foremen and Project Managers

• Ensure construction is performed in accordance with the plans, specifications and installation instructions

• Review onsite installations and verify correct installations. If not correct, notify Quality Control Manager and Foreman of issues.

• Interaction with customers, vendors and staff

• Ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with all company safety policies and procedures

• Promote good customer relations/customer service thru scheduling and coordination activities or filed operations

Administrative Duties: Other duties may be assigned

• Approval of weekly work reports and other project expenses

• Monthly review of billing packets and assistance in generation of billing percent complete

• Review of percent complete and backlog reports weekly

• Responsibility for project profit and loss and cost control thru the review of all purchases and invoices related to projects

• Perform other related duties as required to ensure a safe workplace, quality construction and timely completion of each project

• Enforce company Safety and Quality Control procedures

• Enforcement of all company policies and procedures

• Updating of Project Management logs and other information as necessary

• Report daily operation status to management and update as necessary

• Assist the Safety Manager in the performance of job site accident investigations

• Vendor price negotiations and material buy out

• Create O&M manuals

• Manage lead times to ensure product is delivered in a timely manner

• Answering phones

• Understanding of basic construction methods and materials

• Ability to adapt to changing situations and solve problems as they arise

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 2- 5 years experience as an Admin, Project Engineer, Field Operations Coordinator, Project Manager, Estimator, Engineer, General Superintendent, or similar within the commercial construction environment

• Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills

• Experience in project scheduling and coordination, project management, and general construction practices

• Outstanding communication skills are a must

• Highly organized, motivated self-starter with ability to set and attain goals

• Dependable and stable work history

• Ability to work alone or part of the team in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment, handling multiple tasks and responsibilities

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office, web based applications and tablets

• Strong technical skills

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

This is a full-time salaried position. Successful candidate must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, background check, and sign a non-compete agreement.
