We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to join our team in a fast-paced bird store environment with boarding and shelter facilities as well as retail. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and supporting the General Manager in achieving sales goals. This role requires strong organizational skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to lead a tem effectively. This role also requires skills to socialize birds, hand feed babies, maintain/build cages and detailed record-keeping.
Qualifications: - Previous experience in a bird store or retail environment
- Experience with and a passion for pet birds
- Strong background in sales management and retail sales techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers effectively
- Proficient in administrative tasks with strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Animal training skills/experience is a plus
- Online marketing skills/experience is a plus
