We repair thousands of cars every year because of the dedicated, committed, and professionally trained About your role:This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that is responsible for the repair and refinish of automotive vehicle bodies. This role restores damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition through the refinishing process and should be following the written repair order and company operational excellence processes. They are also responsible for nurturing and cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization.What will you be responsible for?Complete the paint processes for vehicles according to factory specification including following the written repair order.Oversee the Painter Helper in pre-op to ensure quality standards are met.Actively participate in morning meetings by knowing the status of assigned vehicles and assisting in problem solving to keep all vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery.Utilizes all required safety equipment and follows proper refinishing procedures in compliance with OSHA guidelines and company policy.Follow vendor procedures to maintain all tools and equipment, including maintenance of paint booth and booth filters and maintain a clean and organized workspace.Utilize air sanders, spray guns, sanding blocks, etc. to complete quality work.Review estimate to ensure all operations listed have been completed and verify the panel/parts to be painted.Identify all areas of the repair that may require additional corrosion protection (hidden welds, etc.), as well as fixing small dents.Strict adherence to the "Principles of Downdraft Technology.'Ensure that all paint operations are complete in their entirety, such as paint-related disassembly, sanding, taping off areas that need protection, etc.Review damage reports, prepare or review repair cost estimates, and plan work to be performed.Do you have the necessary education and experience?High school diploma or equivalent required.Associate or bachelors degree preferred. Auto Body Vo-Tech certificate preferred.I-car and paintmaker certification required.
