Job Summary: Perform mining labor work for the production of aggregate materials through crushing and washing operations in a surface mine setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance and general maintenance operations on mining equipment (Crushing and wash plants) to include and may not be limited to; grease, fuel motors, inspect and tighten nuts, bolts and screws.

Assist with the set-up and tear down of mining equipment (Crushing and wash plants) to include placement and alignment of required components (conveyor belts, screen decks, hoppers, etc.).

Monitor conveyor belts and screen decks during operations for aggregate production

Perform housekeeping duties to keep the area around mining equipment clean and free from recognized hazards.

Comply with all Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Regulations governing surface mining operations.

Work safely at all times, observing all CRI Policies, OSHA Regulations, and Site Specific requirements and policies.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred, not required.

Specialized knowledge: demonstration and direction of safe work practice in mining operations (MSHA Regulations).

Skills: Good communication (verbal and visual); alert and observant to conditions at the mine and during aggregate production activities.

Abilities: Recognition and correction of hazardous work conditions

Professional Certification: MSHA 24 Hour Miner Training (Surface Mining), 8 hour annual refresher training.

Experience: Minimum of one year experience working around aggregate production equipment and heavy machinery preferred, not required.

All candidates must pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical.
