Part-Time Trainer / Mentor – Landscape Industry
Windsor, CO | Flexible Hours | Part-Time | $35-$40
Southern Exposure Landscape has been creating beautiful outdoor spaces for over 25 years, and we’re looking for an experienced industry professional who’s ready to share their knowledge.
This is an ideal role for someone who is retired or semi-retired from the landscape industry but still wants to stay connected, make an impact, and work flexible, part-time hours.
The Role:
You’ll work directly with our foremen and field leaders, training them on how to successfully run a landscape project from start to finish. Our team is made up of employees from a wide range of backgrounds, education levels, and experiences—so your ability to teach clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and share practical knowledge is key.
Your focus won’t be on physical labor, but on teaching and mentoring—passing down the processes, standards, and best practices that ensure every job is completed with excellence.
Responsibilities:
Train foremen on job flow: from project setup through completion.
Teach effective communication, scheduling, and documentation processes.
Provide guidance on material/equipment coordination and crew management.
Share problem-solving strategies and lessons learned from your experience.
Serve as a mentor and trusted resource for a diverse team.
What We’re Looking For:
Extensive experience in landscape construction management.
Strong knowledge of job processes, project management, and crew leadership.
Patience and a passion for teaching/mentoring employees with different levels of experience and education.
A desire to stay involved in the industry without the demands of full-time physical work.
Reliability and professionalism.
Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
