Job Summary:
The Check-In and Porting Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day check-in and porting of our travel trailers and fifth wheels. This position requires the inspection and recording of all defects of incoming units by performing interior and exterior walk-around of the unit, producing all forms needed for PDI and Warranty claim purposes, performing data entry to ensure all new units are properly recorded, and making sure units are delivered to customers and technicians alike in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Check for damage, scratches, delamination, missing or defective functions, missing or defective parts, or any other damage and record for PDI and Warranty purposes.
Properly record all issues discovered at check in, take pictures.
Report any major issues for review before releasing drivers.
Verify all information on each unit is received within the unit packet.
Ensure all license plates, stickers, and tire covers are correctly displayed on the unit.
Identify and prepare unit inclusions including but not limited to vacuum cleaners, backup camera screens, wireless chargers, entry door keys, speakers, manuals, and remotes for safe storage.
Create and install stock unit labels and point-of-sale materials.
Ensure Warranty has all the paperwork and information needed to submit clear and concise claims daily.
Prepare estimates for the necessary work of “D.A.F.” tickets.
Coordinate with Internal Service Advisor and Shop Foreman to move DAF tickets through the shop.
The movement of units for Service, PDI, Sales, and new unit lot organization.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Excellent attention to detail.
Basic computer skills required (IDS knowledge is a plus)
Interest and love for the outdoors, as this role is primarily outside.
RV Industry experience preferred.
Ability to learn systems, mechanics, and features inside an RV to ensure correct information is recorded.
Valid Driver’s License required
Driving record required
Saturday availability preferred
Forklift experience preferred
Ability to maneuver travel trailers and fifth wheels into tight locations.
