Busy pilot car company looking to add a detail and safety oriented individual to our team. We run both local to the northern Colorado and Wyoming area as well as over the road from state to state and coast to coast.
It is important to maintain the safety of our oversize load from beginning to end with attention to safety for the public, and all obstacles that the load should encounter. A pilot car escorts an oversize load from location to location and is responsible for height, width and length clearance. The pilot car driver will work directly with driver of the load to clear all obstacles and eliminate the risk of an accident to property or the public. Pilot will assist in controlling traffic for driver to maneuver a turn, or maneuvering a bridge that is narrow, or low, depending on the load and the need of the driver. Pilot will read permit, follow directions, and be responsible for keeping the driver on the designated route given by the state.
Looking to add someone who has knowledge of the trucking industry, or at least a basic knowledge of oversize loads. Knowledge of direction and roads in our area would be a definite plus as well.
Hours vary from day to day and week to week and will be paid on a 10-99 basis. Will need someone reliable with a clean driving record who can travel and be available to work with an on call type of job. Reliable, respectful and trustworthy candidates only.
It is important to note that this position requires flexibility and availability to work any day and hours that are needed and that hours and days are incredibly inconsistent.
