Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the Government sector, based in GOLDEN, Colorado, United States. The opening is for a Sr. Accountant who will be integral in managing and maintaining our financial records and procedures. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions, including account and bank reconciliations, and full cycle payroll operations.Responsibilities: Manage and perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting Execute balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies Conduct regular bank reconciliations to confirm all transactions align with bank statements Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month end close process Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting tasks Manage full cycle payroll operations using UKG Pro software Oversee fixed assets accounting, ensuring all assets are accurately recorded and depreciated Participate in year-end closings, preparing necessary reports and documents.
